DESCRIPTION 
The pictured equipment is a Gym Equipment’s “Plate Loaded Smith Machine with 4× Weight Storage” (also sold as a non-counterbalanced Smith machine) .  It is a commercial-grade Smith machine built around Thomson linear bearings for ultra-smooth vertical bar travel .  The heavy-duty steel frame (100×50 mm and 70×70 mm box section) is designed for years of heavy use .  The bar rotates on four linear bearings, and all lockout pins are fully welded (for strength and safety) .  Four horizontal weight-posts (two on each side) are standard for storing Olympic plates .  The machine’s official dimensions are Height 2200 mm × Width 2100 mm × Depth 1200 mm .  A standard version uses a 25 kg Olympic bar (a lighter 2 kg counterbalanced model is also offered separately).
